Tim Clarke, 68, purchased this waterfront property in Longboat Key, a barrier-island town on the central west coast of Florida, with his wife, Susan, for $2.75 million in 2005, according to public records. They started building this 5,900-square-foot home in 2010 and completed it the following year. They were looking for a 'timeless' design, Mr. Clarke said, and took inspiration from the Palladian style, he said, characterized by arched central windows and symmetry.
