Where: Montecito, Calif., about 90 miles north of Los Angeles.

Due Diligence: California architect Myron Hunt, who designed the Rose Bowl in Pasadena in 1922, designed this estate in 1924. It was built for Lora Josephine Knight, a 1920's socialite whose guests at the home included Charles Lindbergh. The home's current owners, Mark and Jenean Cerami, purchased the property in 1998. Mr. Cerami is founder of MSC Music & Entertainment, a Los Angles-based recording label. The home's grand hall is lined with teakwood paneling with a hand-painted ceiling. The formal dining room has a walnut ceiling. The master suite has a fireplace, office and sitting room.
