Due Diligence: This traditional wood-shingle house was built in 2002 by its owner, furniture and interior designer Nancy Corzine, whose past clients have included former President Clinton and real-estate developer Donald Trump. Besides serving as architect, Ms. Corzine also designed many of the furnishings, including an English Georgian-style 12-foot-long walnut burl and ebony dining-room table and a living-room chandelier with wood beads and tassels. (Most of the furnishings can be negotiated in the sale of the property, she says.) The house, about a mile from the center of town, includes an 11,000-square-foot veranda at the back of the house and a double-height foyer opening into a living room with 21-foot ceilings. Three of the eight bedrooms are master-bedroom suites. Ms. Corzine, whose main home is in Marina Del Rey, Calif., says she plans to build another house in the Hamptons area when this one sells.
