Due Diligence: In 1992, Juan and Louise O'Callahan bought this three-story Victorian, built in the 1850s. The couple's renovations to the main house included converting a third-floor attic into a large artist studio, where Mr. O'Callahan, a retired airline executive, spends two days a week painting. The property, called Salt Acres, has four acres of gardens and sits behind two curving beaches. The property’s frontage along Long Island Sound totals about half a mile.
