Due Diligence: This two-story house sits at the end of a cul-de-sac and overlooks the Pines Canal and Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Recreation Area. Sidney Witter and her husband, Mourad Daire, built the house in 2004. She's the 42-year-old granddaughter of Dean Witter, who founded financial concern Dean Witter & Co. in 1924. (It's now part of Morgan Stanley.) Ms. Witter left her job as a Wall Street equity analyst four years ago after giving birth to twins. The house, in a Florida villa style, has marble floors, custom mahogany millwork and large Palladian windows. The formal grand salon has a Macedonian stone fireplace and wood-beam ceilings. Two powder rooms, a gym with sauna and a steam shower are on the main level, with a playroom and paneled office on the second level. Ms. Witter says she and her husband plan to move back to New York, where she eventually will return to work.
