Due Diligence: Marion Sims Wyeth, who designed more than 100 Palm Beach homes as well as the present governor's mansion in Tallahassee, built this two-story house in the 1920s. San Lee, an art dealer, bought it six years ago and undertook a major restoration. The Venetian Gothic-style house was raised four feet to meet sea-level standards for coastal homes in Florida. (The house, on the Intra-Coastal Waterway, is now 7.5 feet above sea level.) Ms. Lee also added a chef's kitchen, Egyptian limestone flooring, eight zones of air conditioning and a 130-foot concrete dock. She replaced every window with impact glass, which worked in this year's hurricane season, though the house didn't sustain a direct hit. All of the house's bedrooms have terraces, and the master bedroom includes a sun deck.
