Due Diligence: Grammy-winning music producer Jimmy Jam had this two-story, contemporary house built in 1991, on property he bought two years earlier. The house sits in Lake Minnetonka, an affluent suburb of Minneapolis, and includes about 360 feet of lake frontage, one of the largest in the area, its listing agent says. A master-bedroom suite comes with dual dressing rooms and lake views. The owner, born James Harris, declined to say how much he paid for the land or the house but says he and his wife, Lisa, recently spent about $1.5 million updating exterior finishes, adding windows and replacing parts of the roof. The couple recently bought property in the Los Angeles area, where Mr. Harris and his music-producing partner, Terry Lewis, plan to work. (The duo has produced albums for Mariah Carey, Usher and Janet Jackson.)
