Listing Agents: Debra Parkinson, Lake Arrowhead GMAC Real Estate, Christie's Great Estates, 909-224-3191

Due Diligence: Walter O'Malley, who owned the Brooklyn Dodgers, designed and built this lodge-style home shortly after moving the franchise to Los Angeles following the 1957 season. Mr. O'Malley and his family mainly used the lakefront property as a weekend vacation house, according to the listing. The family sold the home several years after Mr. O'Malley died of congestive heart failure in 1979. The current owner, publishing executive Yuri Spiro, bought the property more than 20 years ago, the listing agent says. The house sits on Lake Arrowhead, a popular second-home area surrounded by the mountains of San Bernardino National Forest (the location is a frequent shooting site for Hollywood movies). The property includes an outdoor spa tub, a loft for media and games and three exterior decks. The house sits about a mile up a hill in the private gated community of North Shore Estates. Most of the bedrooms have lake views, and three bedrooms are en suite.
