Due Diligence: Six years ago, Brad Bond, owner of a picture-framing company in Park City, and his wife, Diane Bracey, purchased this property, which was still being built. After listing the house a year ago with a broker for $3 million and, during the last five months, in a local newspaper as a for-sale-by-owner offering at $3.25 million, Mr. Bond decided an absolute auction was the best way to generate more interest. Mr. Bond declined to reveal a purchase price for the home. The house has views of all three nearby ski resorts -- Deer Valley, The Canyons and Park City -- and the Wasatch Range, a stretch of mountains that run through southern Idaho, Wyoming and central Utah. The three-story house includes a 24-foot-high, two-sided fireplace on the main level and a master-bedroom suite of about 2,000 square feet. The 48-year-old owner and his wife plan to relocate to a smaller property in Park City when this one sells.
