Home theaters are becoming a must-have for buyers of luxury homes. Among million-dollar homeowners, 46% already have a home theater, while 39% plan to acquire one, according to the Coldwell Banker Luxury Index survey. Below is a sampling of home-theater residences in three hot second-home locales.

  • Littleton, Colo.
  • Tyler, Texas

PLACE/PRICE: Orlando, Fla./$1.19 million

PROPERTY TAX*: $13,475

THE PROPERTY:  5,000 square feet with 5 bedrooms, 4.5 baths with a home theater, on approximately .25 of an acre.

DESCRIPTION:  The house is located in the Delaney Park neighborhood within walking distance of downtown. Among the house's amenities are a separate guest house, a heated pool and spa, landscape sprinklers, and an Old English-style island kitchen with granite countertops.
