Slipped in October

The value of private residential construction declined in October, falling 2% from September to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $503.7 billion, the Census Bureau said. The value of private nonresidential construction also declined in October to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $359.4 billion, down 0.5% from September.
